+1! (But then again I raised the suggestion in the other thread, so maybe I'm out of points...)

Seriously, I think it's a nice idea. You've put a lot of work into the tool and it'd be nice to be able to build on that. Plus you're talking about something that could become a nice library (with a gem, which you're already interested in) on RubyForge.

been trying to use aws-s3 gem ... but it has failings under windows (and the mail list is kind of slow and quiet)

s3sync seems more mature ....... an API to access from with Ruby would be much appreciated
